Membership Eligibility
To become a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), you must meet the following criteria:
Honorable Service
You must have served in the Armed Forces of the United States and either received a discharge of Honorable or General (Under Honorable Conditions) or be currently serving.
Verifying Documents:
- DD-214
- Military ID
- Other official service documentation
Foreign Service Requirement
Service in a war, campaign, or expedition on foreign soil or in hostile waters.
This can be proven by:
- Receipt of an authorized campaign medal
- Receipt of Hostile Fire Pay or Imminent Danger Pay
- Service in Korea for 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days

How to Join VFW Post 7119
Follow these simple steps to become a member of our VFW Post.
Gather Your Documents
Prepare your DD-214 or other proof of service showing your eligibility.
If you need assistance obtaining these documents, visit the National Archives website.
Complete Application
Fill out the membership application form online or at our Post.
Applications are available at our Post on Thursday evenings before 7 PM, or you can contact us to request one.
Submit & Join
Submit your application with dues payment and become a member!
Annual membership dues help support our programs and services for veterans in the community.
Visit Us in Person
We encourage interested veterans to visit VFW Post 7119, especially on Thursday evenings before 7 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to meet current members, learn more about our Post, and experience the camaraderie firsthand.

Not Eligible for VFW Membership?
If you are not eligible for membership but have a parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, sibling, or spouse who would be eligible, you may apply for membership in the VFW Auxiliary.
