VFW Post 7119 Disc Golf
Our disc golf course at VFW Post 7119 thrives because of players like you. To keep our fairways clear, our greens pristine, and our community growing, we are thrilled to launch the Adopt-A-Hole Program for the upcoming season!
Whether you have a few hours a month or just want to get your hands dirty on the weekends, we need your help to keep our course looking its absolute best.
We are looking for volunteers to "adopt" Holes 2 through 17. (Wondering about Holes 1 and 18? We're keeping those off the list since they are quick, easy group projects—just picking up sticks for the mowers!)
Our volunteer managers will each oversee 4 of the 16 available holes. When you adopt a hole, one of these managers will be your direct point of contact for guidance, supplies, and support.

We know everyone has different schedules and capabilities. When you sign up, you'll let us know your availability and comfort level with physical labor.
You don't have to do it alone! For tougher, more labor-intensive holes, we will group volunteers together so the workload is shared.
As a hole adopter, you are the guardian of your designated fairway and green. General duties include:
We know you do it for the love of the game, but we want to make sure our Course Guardians feel the love, too!

At the Post — you've earned it!
The group or individual responsible for the most pristine, well-maintained hole on the course will be immortalized at the end-of-the-year competition.
The winners will be awarded the prestigious Gary's Golden Rake — a trophy that comes with ultimate bragging rights and a permanent spot in VFW Post 7119 Disc Golf history.
Nope! We provide the essential gear needed for standard hole maintenance. However, if you have a favorite pair of loppers or a specific trimmer you prefer, you are more than welcome to bring them.
If you bring your own equipment, please clearly mark it with your name/initials so it doesn't get mixed up with the Post's inventory. We can even provide a small amount of storage space at the course — just coordinate with your manager!
Yes and no. For the most part, you'll have the freedom to maintain your hole on your own schedule. You'll work directly with your Hole Manager (Rudolph, Jerry, Gary, or Kevin) to figure out what needs to be done and when.
However, keep an eye on your inbox! We will occasionally host Large-Scale Work Days for major course improvements or to polish things right before an event.
Absolutely — in fact, we encourage it! You can sign up as a duo or a small group. We'll make sure you're assigned to the same hole.
